You deserve a break! Make Self-care apart of Your Workday. Self-care is not merely just a weekend fun activity even though for most of us that’s how we prioritize it in our lives. Self-care FIRST should be apart your new normal and become apart of your Lifestyle.
Stop, Look, and Listen!
Stop- What is the first thing you do once you get to work? Pause for the cause…You are an atmosphere shifter so, you must create the work atmosphere you want and need to work at your highest potential. Consider doing a quick meditation in your car before heading in.
Look- Clean, Clear, and Organize your workspace. Make sure your work area is inviting to you. Clearing things out allow you to see what really needs your immediate attention. Organize task in order of importance and not just convenient busy work. Also, consider doing a couple of small tasks first to jump-start your feelings of accomplishment. This will give you a boost of energy to finish a few more. In addition, think about having a plant or some refreshing fragrance nearby this could be just the thing your workspace is missing.
Listen- Are you paying attention to you? Learn to listen to yourself. Take the necessary time to Eat during your workday. Are you listen when your bladder calls? Get up and go to the restroom (smile) … you are doing more harm than good.
